Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 20,2026 Last Updated: September 20,2026

1. Who We Are and Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of www.reneequinnwrites.com (the "Website"), including any free downloads, resources, or other materials we make available through it (the "Products").

The Website is operated by Quinn Literary LLC, a CT limited liability company that publishes under the pen name Reneé Quinn ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). "Reneé Quinn" is a pen name and brand of the Company. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the Website or subscribes to or downloads any Product.

By using the Website, subscribing to our email list, or downloading a Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Disclaimer, each of which is posted on the Website and incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where we present a checkbox or button that says you agree to these Terms, clicking it is your signature and acceptance. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or the Products.

2. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on the Website with a new "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will also give notice by email to subscribers or by a prominent notice on the Website, at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Changes required by law or needed to address a security issue may take effect immediately.

Changes apply going forward only. They do not apply to any dispute that arose before the change. If you keep using the Website after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Website.

3. Eligibility

The Website and Products are intended for people who are 18 or older. Do not use the Website if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

4. Privacy Policy and Disclaimer

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information. Our Disclaimer describes the limits of the information and Products we provide. Both are part of these Terms. Please read them.

5. Third-Party Retailers and Affiliate Links

Our books are sold by third-party retailers, and the Website may link to them. We do not currently sell books directly through the Website. If we begin selling through the Website, we will update these Terms and present purchase terms, including payment and refund terms, before you buy. Any purchase you make from a retailer is governed by that retailer's terms, not these Terms.

Affiliate disclosure. Some links on the Website are affiliate links. If you click a link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We may also link to a product or service because we have a relationship with the company that offers it. We will disclose affiliate relationships near the relevant link or recommendation.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website and in the Products, including text, books, excerpts, posts, logos, marks, graphics, files, videos, audio, downloads, designs, and computer code (the "Content"), is owned by or licensed to the Company and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. This does not include content from others that we are lawfully permitted to use. "Reneé Quinn" and our logos are marks of the Company.

Limited license. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view the Website and to print or download Content for your own personal, non-commercial use, as long as you keep all copyright and other notices intact.

Restrictions. Without our prior written consent, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, display, distribute, transmit, post, sell, rent, license, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any Content or Product, and you may not share, resell, or redistribute any Product. You may not use the Content or any Product to train, fine-tune, or test any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, or to build a dataset for that purpose.

You are responsible for any violation of these restrictions.

7. Content You Submit

"User Content" means anything you submit to us or post on the Website or our social media accounts, such as comments, reviews, testimonials, and messages.

Your promise. You confirm that you own your User Content or have permission from its owner to submit it and to grant the license below.

Your license to us. You grant the Company and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and successors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, reformat, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Website, our books, and our Products. We will not publish your full name or likeness with a review or testimonial without your permission.

Responsibility. You are responsible for your User Content and for any harm it causes by infringing someone else's rights.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You will not submit, post, or send anything that:

  • (a) is illegal or infringes or violates the rights of others;
  • (b) is defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, pornographic, or threatening;
  • (c) encourages or advocates conduct that is criminal or that gives rise to civil liability;
  • (d) contains spyware, viruses, or other malicious or harmful code;
  • (e) attempts to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Website or its systems; or
  • (f) is unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or spam, or disrupts the operation of the Website.

9. Third-Party Websites

The Website may link to third-party websites or resources for your convenience. We do not own or control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. When you leave the Website, our Terms no longer apply, and your dealings with a third party are strictly between you and that party.

10. Termination

We may refuse, restrict, suspend, or end your access to the Website, or remove Content or User Content, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 6, 7, and 12 through 17.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION ON IT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE ANY PARTICULAR RESULTS FROM USING THE WEBSITE OR ANY PRODUCT.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUCCESSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF INCOME, REVENUE, PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, OR PRODUCTS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE WEBSITE, CONTENT, OR PRODUCTS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) $100.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, FRAUD, OR PERSONAL INJURY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You use the Website at your own risk and are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the decisions you make and results you get from your use of it.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, and successors from any losses, claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of (a) your User Content; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or of another person's rights, including intellectual property rights; or (d) your misuse of the Website or Products. We will notify you promptly of any claim, may control its defense at your expense, and you agree to reasonably cooperate.

14. Governing Law, Informal Resolution, and Venue

Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to the Website, Content, or Products are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you agree to send us a written description of the dispute at [BUSINESS EMAIL] and to work in good faith with us for at least 30 days to resolve it. We agree to do the same.

Venue. If the dispute is not resolved, you and we agree that it will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court.

Your rights. Nothing in these Terms waives any right or remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law, including consumer protection laws.

15. No Class Actions

To the extent permitted by law, you and we agree that any dispute will be resolved only on an individual basis. You waive any right to bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative action.

16. General Terms

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Website and supersede any earlier communications or proposals. A printed copy of this agreement and of any electronic notice is admissible in legal proceedings to the same extent as other business records.

Severability. If a court finds any provision unenforceable, it will be enforced to the extent permitted and modified as needed, and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.

Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

Notices. We may give you notice by posting on the Website or by email to the address you provided. You may give us notice at the contact details below.
